What a week that was! Times are tough for small bu What a week that was! Times are tough for small business, the cost of literally everything is going up, from insurance, to electricity to ingredients and then throw in egg shortages and it's a lot! I recently put my prices up about $10 per cake because of previously mentioned price increases (chocolate has gone up about 20% over the last year or so alone and last week I was paying up to $11 for a dozen eggs due to shortages). I've found that this has unfortunately resulted in more enquiries that shop around and/or ghost me and a fairly quiet end to Feb, but to have a full fridge like this and the same again next week gives me hope that there is still enough people out there willing to pay a cake maker their worth so that I can keep doing what I love for a living, so thankyou! 🩷 No matter the challenges I haven't changed my ingredients or processes so everything is still made fresh from scratch every week. A reminder I am closed from 9-30th of April, and if you want to order for May let me know soon as I will be largely offline for April. X
