So...this happened! Once Upon A Pie just won small So...this happened!
Once Upon A Pie just won small business of the year for @cityofmarion for my community involvement and projects. I am so lucky to be able to do what I love for a living and be able to give back at the same time.
It's a huge honour to be a finalist and I am absolutely gobsmacked to have won.

Pretty little thing from the weekend πŸ’™ Pretty little thing from the weekend πŸ’™
September saw my AuDHD in full force. It was one o September saw my AuDHD in full force. It was one of the best months my business has ever had, but potentially at the risk of my sanity.
I took on too much. I wanted to do all the things. I didn't want to say no to anyone. So I took all the bookings that came my way, I did two weekend bake stalls at the school, I organised the school father's day stall, the school disco and the sports day Bbq where we cooked and sold over 20 kilos of sausages
I of course made cookies and donated them to the bbq also! I did the weekly paper run with the kids, spending hours folding junk mail in preparation and getting up early Tuesday mornings, clocking 20,000 steps in a day each week. I continued to do 4-5 workouts a week including 5.30am classes if it was the only way to fit it in. I ran cupcakes decorating sessions. I took my kids to basketball, gymnastics, dance, speech therapy, psychology and OT appointments. I volunteered in classroom once a week reading and writing with the kids. All while running a business which aside from the cakes and bakes, means shopping, sourcing, emailing, planning and prepping.
I made money, my kids earnt money and I raised thousands for the school. But I'm pooped. It was a buzz but it's not sustainable and I need to slow down.
October will see no bake sales. No school events. And a reduced number of bookings each week so I can catch my breath and reset and do all the things and appointments that aren't negotiable.
So with that, October is booked out.
Thankyou for your ongoing support and the amazing support you showed for my bake sales this winter, I really enjoyed them and look forward to coming up with interesting and fun teacher gifts and Christmas goodies. And if you see me out there delivering junk mail, it's not because the cakes aren't selling, it's because I love the kids πŸ˜…
